Our Story

I

I remember the first time I fell in love with Photography, it was not the observation of a photograph or seeing someone take a picture. At the start of our Art GCSE's I was seated in the Art classroom and was asked to choose between Photography or Art. With curiosity, I chose photography, this was one of the best decisions I ever made. Our photography teacher took us to the dark room, yes a negative dark room, (in those days there were no digital cameras), and introduced us to photography; this is where I fell in love. The site of a black & white test strip, (which is used to determine the correct exposure for a print), by the entrance and smell of chemicals in the darkroom, ‘transformed me’. 

LOVE

I started my career off with analogue photography, for GCSE and A-level photography then played around with digital photography for my Photography Bachelors Degree. Over the years I have travelled to various countries, carrying out my passion, capturing landscapes and people in their natural environments. 

I am by nature an introvert and love taking pictures of people in their natural surroundings. Photography brings me a peace that I cannot describe. My wife and children have over the years inspired my work and I am happiest when I photograph them. They have expanded my areas of interest in photography, which I will forever be grateful for.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I am hard of hearing with complete deafness in one ear and a hearing aid on the other. I love being able to capture what I see around me without the distraction and noise from the world interfering. I believe that my disability is my strongest asset and one should never let any disabling condition stop them from stepping out of their comfort zone or limit their capacity to dream. I am a living testament to the truth that if you have a passion in your heart for something, then you must never ignore that gift that lies within you. Nurture and grow it, until you master it then share it with the rest of the world.
